Artemis Maximal Dog Food Review
This is an excellent food for the fact that it contains no grains. Grains in dog food are unnecessary, because they are not part of a natural canine diet. Despite this, many foods contain them – so it's great to see a product that excludes them completely. In fact, it does not contain a single unnecessary, controversial, or low quality ingredient, which sets it apart from the majority as a superior quality dog food. Instead of being filled with unnatural ingredients, it has an impressively high meat content compared to other foods.
This is all great news for your dog! Too many commercial pet foods are sneakily packed with “filler” ingredients, which range from the unnecessary to the downright harmful. Feeding a higher quality, more natural, purer food can seem rather more expensive than picking up an economy brand, but the much higher nutrient concentration means that you need to feed your dog much smaller amounts of the food (in the case of this particular food, a 50lb dog needs about 2.5 cups), thus saving you money in the long run.
Artemis Company Artemis Maximal Dog
is extremely high in proteins – a very good thing, but also worth taking
into consideration if you have a larger breed of dog. The protein content is
a bit too much for young dogs, so it's probably only really suitable for
adult dogs, especially for those larger breeds.
The meat content of
the food seems to be excellent quality. When choosing a dog food, you should
always check the list of ingredients on the packaging – they are listed in
order of weight (this is a legal requirement), and the first ingredient
should always be a meat product. There is a named meat product listed as the
first ingredient of this particular food, which indicates that the food does
contain a good amount of meat. There's another meat ingredient further down
the list, but this one contains about 80% water so it's not a major
consideration in terms of the product's overall meat content.
